At Sydney's Sanctuary, our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, cage-free haven for homeless, abandoned, and shelter rescue cats where they can receive cozy lifelong care, compassion, and protection. We aim to create a loving environment where these cats can thrive and find their forever homes, with the support of donors and fundraising efforts to continue our mission of animal rescue and care.

To create a lasting refuge where every cat has a chance for a peaceful, dignified life. Through community partnerships, outreach, and future mobile services, we envision a network of care that brings safety, support, and adoption opportunities to cats in need.

About us

Sydney’s Sanctuary began with a lifelong love for animals and a heart for rescuing those in need. As a flight attendant, I often missed the companionship of a furry friend, until my husband, Alex, brought home a sweet, white bundle of joy we named Sydney. Trips to pet stores tugged at my heart as I saw cats waiting behind plexiglass, which sparked a curiosity about what happened to those who weren’t adopted, especially older cats. After years of volunteering and discovering the need for more foster centers, Sydney’s Sanctuary was born. We’re dedicated to providing a safe haven for cats, educating others on their true, misunderstood nature, and ultimately establishing a permanent sanctuary to give even more animals a second chance.
